If I can speak as a gamer and not a journalist for a second, let me say that Borderlands might be my favorite game of this generation. The exploration, the loot, the weird story, and fantastic online co-op made for one of the best gaming experiences I have had in the last 10 years. So when Borderlands 2 was unsurprisingly announced, I was instantly counting down the days to its release, even though there was no release date. Thankfully, my anticipation will come to an end later this year.
In a new trailer released earlier today, Gearbox Software, the developer of the Borderlands series, finally revealed that the game would be in US systems on September 18th, and on September 21st everywhere else.
Also unveiled in the trailer were the rest of the characters players would be able to take the reigns of. Joining the already ousted Salvador and Maya are Axton, and Zero. Axton and Zero seem to be taking the Soldier and Hunter role respectively, but nothing has been confirmed yet. Also seen in the trailer were a litany of new weapons, bosses, and a few of your old favorites from the first game. Oh, and dubstep. Lots of dubstep.
Promising 870 “Bajillion” more guns, epic boss fights, and more ClapTrap, Borderlands 2 looks like it is shaping up very nicely. As always, we will have more coverage as the game’s release draws near, and a full review once released.

Me Likey!!!!
That trailer was hot… but i just don’t get whats so cool about borderlands…
Its just fun Dave. Going through with friends, finding the randomized loot and looking for that perfect weapon. The story is pretty quirky and enjoyeable as well.
